SOUTH KASHMIR AVALANCHE: Deceased Ganderbal cop leaves behind 3 minor daughters

A policeman from this district, who died in a snow avalanche near Jawahar tunnel on Saturday has left behind his aged parents, wife and three minor daughters. 

Parvaiz Ahmad Mir son of Ghulam Mohammed Mir of Arampora Ganderbal, a selection grade constable died after he was trapped under a snow avalanche near Jawahar tunnel on Thursday. 

   

His body was recovered by rescuers on Saturday and later brought to his home Saturday afternoon where hundreds of the people participated in his funeral.

Several police of civil officials from district administration Ganderbal were present on the occasion. 

A family member of the deceased told Greater Kashmir Mir is survived by his parents, wife and three minor daughters aged 5, 3 and 2 years. 

Meanwhile, National Conference (NC) senior leader and former MLA Ganderbal Sheikh Ishfaq Jabbar has expressed grief over the demise of Mir and solidarity with the bereaved family. 

He urged the Governor led administration to extend all possible help to the bereaved family including a job to his wife.
