South Kashmir boy pens tears fall in my heart

Adnan Shafi, 23, hailing from south Kashmir’s Tral has released his maiden book ‘tears fall in my heart’.

The book has been published by Global Fraternity of Poets at Hisar in Haryana and is available on Flipkart, Amazon and other online shopping portals.

About the book Shafi said: “I might not have been able to tell the complete story regarding Kashmir conflict, but my motive was to bring the readers as close as possible to its reality. I feel I have been able to do so.”

The young writer said his father was his motivation for writing this book. “During my childhood my dad used to tell me to write articles and books due to which I gained interest and finally wrote this book,” said Adnan.

Before publishing his first book, Adnan said he has contributed articles and short stories for several news organisations in Kashmir. “I am looking to write more books in future. I am currently working on a novel that will be completed soon.”

Shafi a resident of Chandrigam village in Tral, has done post-graduation in English and is currently pursuing his second PG in Public Administration through Indra Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU).
