South Kashmir gunfights, clashes: Second civilian dies

Two civilians have been killed in south Kashmir’s Shopian district, where clashes erupted after gunfights broke out between militants and government forces in Dragad and Kachdoora villages on Sunday.

One of the slain civilians was identified as Zubair Ahmad Bhat of Gopalpora Kulgam. He was injured during clashes in Kachdoora.

   

Reports said that he was shifted to district Hospital Kulgam where he succumbed.

Another civilian, who was owner of a house where militants had taken cover in Dragad, was also killed. He was identified as Mushtaq Ahmad Padroo.
