Soz questions BJP's decision to field Praghya Thakur for Lok Sabha

Congress leader and former union minister Saifuddin Soz on Saturday questioned BJP’s decision of fielding Praghya Thakur – an accused in Maleygaon bomb blasts – as the party candidate for the Lok Sabha from Bhopal.

“By fielding Thakur as a candidate for the Lok Sabha from Bhopal, the country will see PM Modi and Amit Shah in extremely poor light as they have shown scant respect to the judicial process by fielding a terror accused as a candidate from Bhopal,” Soz said in a statement issued here.

“Advocate Tahseen Poonawalla and film actress Swara Bhaskar have rightly asked the judiciary to summon Praghya Thakur back to the jail as she has violated the judicial order,” Soz said in a statement issued here.
