Traffic resumed on Sonamarg-Drass stretch of the strategic Srinagar-Leh highway on Wednesday after remaining suspended for five consecutive days.
The highway was closed on Thursday evening following heavy snowfall in Zojila and Drass areas.
A traffic police officer told Greater Kashmir that light and heavy motor vehicles were allowed to move from Drass towards Sonamarg. However, only light motor vehicles were allowed to move from Sonamarg to Drass after 10am.
