A Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) constable was killed in a militant attack in Tral area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Sunday.
Reports said that militants fired a UBGL grenade at CRPF camp in Midoora Tral at 8:30 PM.
A SSB constable stationed in the camp for the recently-concluded ULB elections in the state sustained an injury in his head in the attack.
He was shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment where he succumbed, said a police spokesman.
The slain was identified as Constable Vijay Kumar.
