Srinagar-based Shaheen Syndicate Social Trust (SSST) organised a ‘social service camp’ at Boys’ Primary School Chatwan, Kupwara, and distributed school bags, notebooks and stationery items among the students.
Speaking on the occasion, chairman SSST, Showkat Khanyarisaid, “Earlier, we got to know about this primary school at this far-flungarea. When we visited here, we saw students without bags and stationery. Wepromised to provide you support and we have fulfilled our promise.”
He explained the importance of education in Islam.
Meanwhile, on the request of local villagers, SSST generalsecretary Mohammad Farooq promised that the trust will arrange school uniformsfor 60 students of the school next month.
