Srinagar, Dec 28: Minister for Revenue and Rehabilitation, Raman Bhalla Friday said that State Government is making all out efforts to provide financial assistance to the families affected by natural calamities and in this connection, the Government extended full support to the families of Valley affected by the windstorm.
 The Minister was addressing a cheque distribution function here today, organized for providing financial assistance to natural calamity affected families, heavy snowfall, fire affected and other persons who suffered property loss in various incidents this year.
 Bhalla distributed Rs 2.87 crore in terms of cheques among 4377 families whose residential houses were damaged by strong winds and storm on 19th and 20th March this year.
 Earlier, the Minister inspected Land Information System Section of Revenue Training College at Bemina and also took stock of the functioning of Computer Lab.
 The Minister also went round Muhafiz Khanna of Revenue complex where revenue records are kept.
 The Minister was accompanied by Director, Land Records, Additional District Development Commissioner, Srinagar, Tehsildar North, Settlement Officer and other concerned officers.
