Successive govts diluted Kashmir issue, failed to provide good governance: Er Rasheed

Awami Ittihad Party (AIP) president Engineer Sheikh Abdul Rashid on Saturday said that the successive governments not only diluted the nature of Kashmir issue but also failed to provide good governance.

Er Rasheed said while the Kashmir issue should be resolvedin accordance with the sentiments and aspirations of people but at the sametime people deserve a better governance.

   

Addressing a press conference in Srinagar, Rasheed also saidthat the governor administration has taken the people of the state for granted.

“Common man suffers for want of better health care,electricity, drinking water and proper roads while the schools are withoutteachers in remote areas and the genuine political leadership is beingsubjected to mental torture,” he said.

Rasheed also hit out at the National Conference and the PDP,claiming they were “extensions” of the Congress and the BJP.

He also welcomed political activist Ishtiyaq Qadri, socialand political activist Dr. Sikandar Jan, educationist Aijaz Khan, educationistMohammad Akbar Rather, RTI activist Syed Qarar Hashmi, social activist AbdulHameed Malik into the AIP.
