Chairman Kashmir Society International, Farooq Renzushah, Wednesday said that Sufiyat needs to be revived in order to ensure peace and tranquility in Asia.
While speaking at a function organized by Gulkar Society inmemory of Hazrat Ama Sufi at Tagore Hall, Renzushah said, “The contribution ofKashmiri Sufi singers and their music is exemplary. The time has come to enrichour great Sufiyat based civilization, which is required to be revived to ensurepeace and tranquility in Asia.”
On occasion, Shahid Budgami, Hasrat Gada, Himayun Qaiser,Gulzar Ganaie, Raja Bilal, Waheed Jeelani and Hafiz Rashid presented awards toMuneer Mir, Raja Bilal, Ghulam Ahmad Sufi, Muhammad Kawa, Asadullah Shah andlate Ghulam Muhammad Dar (posthumously).
