Super 30 founder, Advocate General, others meet Governor

Founder of Super 30 programme, Anand Kumar, Advocate General, D C Raina, and Advisor K Skandan among others met Governor Satya Pal Malik, here at the Raj Bhavan on Wednesday.

Kumar, who is known for running the Super 30 programme inPatna, Bihar since 2002, and which coaches underprivileged students for theentrance examination of Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), apprised theGovernor about his plans.

   

The Governor lauded Kumar’s efforts in providing residentialcoaching facilities to deserving students and said that such initiatives ofmentoring youth in pursuing their professional dreams is what is required toguide young minds on the right track.

Governor Malik also praised Kumar’s biopic, Super 30, andsaid that it would be made tax free in the state.

Meanwhile, the Advocate General and Member of ShriAmarnathji Shrine Board (SASB), D C Raina, briefed the Governor about to-datestatus of important cases relating to the state, besides discussing the conductof ongoing Amarnath Yatra.

Advisor Skandan briefed Governor Malik about the functioningof the departments under his responsibility and apprised him about variousissues of urgent administrative importance.

Vasundhra Pathak Masoodi, Chairperson of Jammu and KashmirState Commission for Protection of Women and Child Rights, also met GovernorMalik at the Raj Bhavan and briefed him about the functioning of the Commissionand steps taken to ensure speedy trial of offences against women and children.

Meanwhile, a delegation of National Rural Health Mission(NRHM) doctors, led by social activist Dr Hina Shafi Bhat, and former memberLegislative Council Rahim Dar also met Governor Malik at the Raj Bhavan onWednesday.
