In a novel move, a Tangmarg villagers Monday dismantled fencing of their houses to pave way for road.
Residents of Tumberhama, five kilometers from Tangmargvoluntarily decided to dismantle their residential structures including walls,fencing and main gates and trees to pave way for widening of link roads to makethem motorable.
The villagers made a development committee that led thedemolition cum repair works.
“We have been asking successive regime for last 20years to construct roads and other development works but they turned deaftowards us. Now we decided to do the same under self help” said thevillagers.
