Teen killed in Kulgam clashes; civilian toll two

A teenager was killed in clashes with the government forces in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Wednesday, taking the civilian death toll to two.

The deceased, identified as Bilal Ahmad Dar (16) of Kujjar village in Qaimoh tehsil of the district, was declared brought dead at sub-district hospital Qaimoh.

   

A doctor at the hospital said that the boy had suffered a bullet injury.

Earlier, another civilian Sharjeel Ahmad Sheikh was killed after being hit by a bullet during clashes near the site of gunfight in Wani Mohalla of Khudwani.

A soldier has also been killed in the gunfight while two other forces’ personnel have been injured.

At least two civilians have suffered pellet injuries in their eyes during the clashes.
