Teenage son of Jama’at leader, three activists booked under PSA, shifted to Jammu jails

Government on Wednesday booked several Jama’atactivists under PSA in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district and shifted them to Jammujails. 

The activists were arrested last month duringa crackdown against JeI that preceded the ban of the socio-religiousorganization.

   

Those detained under PSA include ameer halqaSangam Muhammad Shaban Dar (64) of Marhama village of Sangam, formerqaim-e-Zillah JeI, Islamabad, Mushtaq Ahmad Wani (67) of Tangpawa Kokernag andAmeer Halqa Soaf Shali Kokernag Nowshad Ahmad (65).

All the three were shifted to Kathua JailJammu.

19-year-old Aqib Gulzar, son of Ameer tehsilAnantnag Gulzar Ahmad has also been booked under PSA and shifted to Hiranagarjail.  

His father, Gulzar Ahmad (48) from Uranhallvillage of Anantnag has been evading arrest.
