Three injured in clashes near polling station in Chadoora

Three persons, including a woman, were injured after security forces fired pellets to chase away stone-throwing protesters in Hafroo village of Chadoora in central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Thursday, police said.

An official said that youth pelted stones on a pollingstation in Hafroo village following which the forces fired pellets to chasethem away.

   

Three persons, including a woman, were injured in theforces’ action, he said.

The woman was shifted to SMHS hospital in Srinagar forspecialised treatment while two others were treated at SHD Chadoora.

Polling is underway for Srinagar-Budgam parliamentary seattoday.
