Timely decision in view of people’s aspirations: BJP

Welcoming the amendments to the J&K domicile laws, Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday said it will ensure that all jobs were being reserved for “residents” of the Union Territory.

In a statement, BJPspokesperson Darakhshan Andrabi termed the amendment as a “timely decisiontaken by the central government keeping in view the aspirations of thepeople.” 

   

Andrabi said the governmentwas willing to go to any extent to “usher new era of prosperity,development and peace in J&K.”

She said the party wascommitted to give a “new Jammu and Kashmir” to people who have been subjectedto “political exploitation, corruption and militancy by the rulingdispensations during the past 70 years.”

“New job opportunities arebeing created in the UT in the days to come and this amendment will benefitlocal unemployed youth a lot”, said Andrabi.

Shehit pout at the political opponents for their criticism of the domicile law,saying they were responsible for all miseries of people of J&K.

“Those who deceived theinnocent people of J&K for seven decades are now talking about aspirationsof the people, “said the BJP spokesperson. 

Severalother BJP leaders also welcomed the amendments in the domicile law. “We welcomeit and everybody should the amendments,” BJP spokesperson, Sunil Sethi said.

BJP spokesman Altaf Thakurthanked the central leadership especially Prime Minister Narendra Modi andUnion Minister of Home Affairs Amit Shah for considering the demand of people,especially youth of Kashmir. “It was because of the hectic lobbying and effortsof J&K based BJP leaders that the Centre was persuaded to amend thedomicile law,” he said.
