Traders to shut businesses from 3:30 pm tomorrow in Lal Chowk against attacks on Kashmiris

Trade bodies in Srinagar on Thursday said they have decided to shut their businesses in commercial hub of Lal Chowk and adjacent areas from 3:30 pm tomorrow as a mark of protest against attacks on people of Kashmiri origin outside Jammu and Kashmir.

A group of traders told Greater Kashmir that the decision was taken in a joint meeting today to protests attacks on Kashmiri traders, students and employees outside the state.

   

They said the traders have been asked to assemble at Lal Chowk after closing their businesses.

Traders had shut their businesses at 3 pm last Saturday to protest attacks on Kashmiris in Jammu.

Soon after the Pulwama attack, people of Kashmiri origin were attacked and harassed in Jammu and other states.
