The traffic on Srinagr-Leh national highway was temporarily suspended on Wednesday evening after landslides at few places near Zojila.
Reports said hundreds of light and heavy vehicles werestranded on both sides of the road.
Superintendent of Police (Traffic Rural) Muzafar Ahmed Shahsaid the highway has got blocked owing to landslides, resulting in suspensionof the traffic.
He said efforts were on to reopen the road at earliest.
The BRO officer in-charge Zojila, Captain Shubham Sood saidthey were putting men and machinery on job to clear the road for traffic.
