Tral, Pampore shut to mourn militant killings

A complete shutdown is being observed in Tral and Pampore townships of Pulwama district on Friday against the killing of three militants.

All shops, business establishments, government and private offices remained closed while public transport was off the roads in Tral and Pampore areas.

   

On Thursday, an LeT militant Muhammad Amin Mir of Drangbal Pampore was  killed along with his associate Mukhtar Ahmad Khan of Brass Arizal in a gun battle with forces in Zugoo village of Budgam district.

On Tuesday, two JeM militants Usman Hyder, a Pakistani and Showkat Ahmad Khan of Hundoora Tral were killed in a gunfight at Chankitar Tral.

An eyewitness said that scores of people from different areas arrived at the residences of the slain militants, Showkat and Amin, in Tral and Pampore respectively to offer condolences and prayers.
