An official was injured when a tree fell on the roof of a government school building in Kangan area of Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Saturday.
Officials said the incident took place at government boys’ high school, Charwan Kangan, at around 12:30 pm when a big tree came crashing down and hit the roof of the school building. A school official said the incident caused minor injuries to Shamima Banoa, lab technician of the school and caused some damage to the school furniture in its compound.
Mushtaq Ahmad Bujad, tehsildar Kangan took cognizance of the case and ordered removal of the trees from the premises of the school within two days.
