A truck conductor was Thursday killed in an accident along Srinagar-Jammu National Highway at Ramban on Thursday.
The deceased has been identified as Fayaz Zaman son ofFazl-U-Rehman of Basgra Uri in Baramulla district.
According to sources, the incident took place when theconductor was replacing the tyre of the truck.
“A vehicle bearing registration number UP11AT 8046 comingfrom the opposite direction, suddenly hit the truck pushing it off the jack.The conductor came under the tuck, resulting in his on spot death,” sourcessaid.
Police has registered a case vide FIR No 63/2019 U/S279/304-A RPC in connection with the incident while driver of the offendingvehicle has been arrested.
