Two BSF men, civilian driver killed in Banihal truck accident

An official said a truck carrying two BSF men skidded off the road and plunged into a gorge near Rattanbass, four kilometers from Banihal.

Two BSF personnel and a civilian driver died in a road accident on Srinagar-Jammu highway in Banihal area of Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday.

An official said a truck carrying two BSF men skidded off the road and plunged into a gorge near Rattanbass, four kilometers from Banihal.

The two BSF men travelling on the truck which was part of a convoy heading towards Kashmir died on the spot while the civilian driver succumbed at Banihal hospital.

The deceased were identified as Head Constable Atama Ram, Constable Ajit Singh and civilian driver Balbir Singh.
