Two militants who allegedly carried out attack on Police Post Chanapora arrested from Wathoora

Police has claimed to have arrested two militants who allegedly carried out attack on Chanapora Police Post in Srinagar that left a cop injured.

A senior Police Officer told news agency GNS that thearrests were made after hectic efforts by the police.

   

He said that the militants identified as Mushtaq AhmadRather and Junaid Ahmad Dar, both residents of Wathoora were arrested fromWathoora area of Chadoora in Budgam today morning.

The officer also claimed to have recovered some arms andammunition including pistol from their possession.

The attack on police post Chanapora was carried on Fridayevening resulting in injuries to one policeman constable Feroz Ahmad who is nowundergoing treatment at SKIMS Soura.

Militant outfit Al-Umar Mujahideen had claimedresponsibility for the attack.
