Jammu Police issues statement to dispel 'misinformation' regarding death of person in custody

Jammu and Kashmir Police on Thursday claimed to haveprevented two youth from joining the militancy in south Kashmir’s Pulwamadistrict.

Acting on a specificinput, police in Awantipora were able to prevent ‘two youth from joining themilitant ranks, said a spokesman.

   

He said the duo hailingfrom Tral and Awantipora areas were planning to join militant ranks. Theseyouths had been indoctrinated and were influenced by the false narratives, headded.

Accordingly, Awantiporapolice counseled the youth in presence of their family members therebypreventing them from joining the militant ranks, said the spokesman, adding:”the youth were handed over to their family members.”
