Commissioner Secretary, Forest, Environment & Ecology Department M.K. Dwivedi reviewed the Forest Clearance issues of Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link project with the Forest and Northern Railway officials in a meeting held here today.
Chief Engineer Northern Railway listed the forest landissues and tree felling issues related to muck dumping yard in Mahore ForestDivision and laying of 132 KV Transmission Line from Katra to Reasi and Rambanto Sangaldan sections for Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link project.
Commissioner Secretary advised the MD State ForestCorporation to expedite the felling of trees coming in the alignment of layingof 132 KV Transmission Line from Katra to Reasi and Ramban to Sangaldansections in a time-bound manner and assured full cooperation and support fromthe Forest Department for smooth and timely execution ofUdhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link project.
