Students of University of Kashmir have invited the Hurriyat Conference (G) chairman Syed Ali Geelani to deliver a talk on “Is there a conspiracy against Urdu? and why it is important to read it.
The programme is scheduled to be held outside Allama IqbalLibrary at Kashmir University, here on Friday at 11 am.
“You must know that an Urdu book fair has been organized inthe Kashmir University and people from all walks of life are coming to thevenue. Your contribution to the Urdu literature is unmatched be it your WularKinaray, a treasure of history, politics, and your treatise on Allama Iqbal. Itwill be honor for us, students and scholars of KU that we be your host. Weinvite you to deliver a talk on ‘Is there a conspiracy against Urdu? and why itis important to read it’ outside Kashmir University’s Allama Iqbal Library onJune 21 at 11 am,” reads the invitation letter sent to Geelani by the students,according to Hurriyat statement.
“Thanking students for their invitation, Hurriyat chairmanaccepted the invite. He is scheduled to leave from his residence tomorrow at 10am in morning,” the Hurriyat statement said.
