Veer Naris to go on capacity building tour

Kalpana Singh Dhatt, regional president, Army Wives Welfare Association (AWWA), northern command, on Sunday interacted with “Veer Naris” (brave women) of the Ladakh scouts regiment during her visit to Leh. 

Kin of these women were killed during operation Vijay and operation Meghdoot.

   

These women would be visiting Bodh Gaya as part of capacity building tour organised by the fire and fury corps under operation Sadbhavana, a statement here said.           

During her interaction, Dhatt enquired about the welfare of these women and expressed her appreciation for the enthusiasm exhibited by them to participate in the tour. 

She expressed her happiness and satisfaction over various welfare schemes availed by them and appreciated their resolve to become self dependent and ensure proper upbringing of their children. 

She acknowledged the “invaluable contribution and supreme sacrifice” of the slain soldiers and assured these women unstinted support of the organisation towards their welfare.
