Venomous snake 'Eastern Cliff Racer' found, rescued in Ganderbal

Days after, Viper, a poisonous species of snake, was found slithering in the lawns of the residence of Omar Abdullah and was later rescued by the wildlife officials,  wildlife SOS has rescued a mildly venomous snake named Eastern Cliff Racer from a house in Kangan area of Ganderbal district in central Kashmir and relocated it to its natural habitat.

Aaliya Mir of wildlife SOS who had earlier rescued the poisonous viper from the residence of omar rescued the Eastern Cliff Racer  too.

“We got an information that this snake has entered a house near Kangan in Ganderbal. We reached there and captured it and later released in its natural habitat “ Aaliya Mir of wildlife SOS told Greater Kashmir.

She said that this snake is uncommon  and  found in Jammu and Kashmir.
