A video of Hurriyat (G) chairman Syed Ali Geelani has gone viral on Wednesday in which he is seen asking the policemen to open the gate of his residence padlocked from outside to prevent his march to Shopian.
“Darwaza kholo, hamein batao kyun bandh kiya hai (Open the door, tell us why have you shut it?),” the octogenarian leader is heard asking the cops in a frail voice from a small opening on the metallic gate of his house.
Invoking the statement of DGP Jammu and Kashmir SP Vaid in which he had said that the separatist trio of Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Yasin Malik were free, Geelani said: “You had said that I am free, and I can go anywhere I please… At least open the door, I am not going to fly away.”
