Watali unwell in jail: Family

Kashmiri businessman Zahoor Ahmad Watali, arrested by the National Investigation Agency for his alleged role in militancy –funding case is unwell in jail, his family said on Thursday. 

The family members said that Watali is not keeping well. They said he is having high blood pressure, fever and backache from past one week. They said that Watali is not being provided proper medical care in jail. “We are very much concerned about his health,” the family said. “He is being denied medical aid.”

   

Watali was granted bail by New Delhi court last month. However, later the Supreme Court stayed the Delhi High Court order. The High Court had said there was no prima facie material to show that 70-year-old Watali was involved in the conspiracy. Watali was arrested on August 17 last year by the NIA.
