Week long plantation drive concludes at KU

The week-long plantation drive organised by  National Service Scheme (NSS) Kashmir University in collaboration with Directorate of Landscape Division of KU and Rahim Greens Srinagar concluded today. 

On the valedictory function at main campus of the KU, vice chancellor Prof.Khursheed Iqbal Andrabi planted saplings along with school children. The vice chancellor in his remarks highlighted the importance of biodiversity in general and forests in particular. Registrar KU Prof. Khursheed Ahmad Bhat advised students to take.  

   

Event coordinator and NSS programme officer Tariq Abdullah gave an overview of environmental concerns and responsibilities of future generation for the said cause. He emphasized on the various activities of NSS of which environment issue is one of the focus area that NSS has taken care of 3000 saplings, which were provided by Rahim Greens, were planted across the various campuses of KU by the guests,teachers and student volunteers.
