Welfare of personnel our prime motive: DGP Dilbag Singh

The Director General of Police, Dilbag Singh, Sunday said that the prime motive of the police headquarters was the welfare of police personnel.

DGP Singh issued the statement while visiting Ganderbaldistrict, wherein he held a joint security review meeting of police, CRPF andSSB, here at the District Police Headquarters.

   

The meeting was attended by DC Ganderbal, Hashmat Ali Khan,SSP Ganderbal, Khalil Ahmad Poswal, Commandant CRPF 118 Bn, Anil Dayani,Commandant CRPF 115 Bn, Pankaj P Shah, ASP Ganderbal, Fayaz Hussain, AssistantCommandant 34 CC, B R Tanwar, DySP DAR, Dr Abdul Majid, DySP Hqrs, Fahad Tak,DySP PC, Muhammad Shafi, SDPO Kangan, Sheikh Tahir Amin, and all district SHOs.

Addressing the meeting, the DGP commended the collectiveefforts of the security forces for maintaining peace in the state. “Thecommitment and spirit shown by the police and security forces on the groundtowards the service of the nation will foil the evil designs of theanti-national elements. All ranks of the force are exhibiting courage on theanti-militancy front.”

The DGP impressed upon the officers to work withprofessionalism and commitment to ensure a peaceful atmosphere in the state. Hesaid that work with dedication for the welfare of people is our prime motive.

He directed the jurisdictional officers to be extra vigilantregarding drug abuse, saying that strict action is the need of the hour againstthe drug peddlers.

He also emphasised on people’s cooperation.

Referring to the recent announcements of the central and thestate government of increasing the ration money/hardship allowances andenumeration of SPOs, the DGP said that the police headquarter is making everyeffort to provide welfare measures to its force and to strengthen the personneltill the lowest rank.
