Geelani condemned the recommendations of Indian Parliamentary Committee regarding West Pakistan refugee.
Hurriyat Conference (G) chairman, Syed Ali Geelani has appealed to people to stage protests after Friday prayers against settlement of West Pakistan refugees in Jammu and Kashmir.
In a statement, conglomerate spokesman said Geelani condemned the recommendations of Indian Parliamentary Committee regarding West Pakistan refugee.
‘‘The recommendations are a grave issue against which every conscious Kashmiri has reservations as they challenge the status of State constitution which can’t be taken lightly,” said Geelani.
‘‘I appeal people to stage peaceful protests after Friday prayers. The communal forces of India are from a very long time waiting to change the demography and eliminate the Muslim identity of the state and today they want to accomplish this task with the help of Modi government. The implementation of the recommendations of the JPC will be an act of providing legal justification for the forcible control of India over Kashmir,” he said.
