The school education department Thursday extended the winter vacation in all schools in Kashmir up to March 2. An order to this effect was issued by secretary, school education department, Ajeet Kumar Sahu.
“Winter vacation in all government and recognised private schools of Kashmir division is hereby extended up to March 2 in view of the extreme inclement weather conditions,” the order read.
The class work in all the schools will resume on March 5. “However the teaching faculty and other staff of government schools shall report to duties on February 25,” it read.
