Woman held for links with militant: Police

Srinagar: Police on Saturday claimed to have arrested a woman accomplice of Hizbul-Mujahideen commander from Doda district of Jammu region.
 A statement said police carried out a raid at Sirwal-Behota village of Marmat in mountainous district last evening and arrested a woman associate of Hizb Divisional commander Javed Qureshi.
 “She was under surveillance for a long time. However, we were waiting for the right opportunity to strike. Last evening she was arrested,” Inspector General of Police (IGP) Jammu, Dilbagh Singh Salathia said.
 He said several more women were under scanner for their links with the militant outfits’ active in the mountainous district.
 “We don’t act in haste. Once the links of a woman with militancy is established then only we act. (PBI)
