The Women Battalion of J&K Police celebrated International Women’s Day here.
The event was organsied by Women Battalion (IRP-15th) atBattalion Headquarters, Gandhi Nagar. The celebrations included lectures byvarious academicians, medicos and psychologists, highlighting the importance ofthe Day.
The programme started with a lecture by Dr Sunniya Wani,DySP, followed by speeches by six officials, highlighting importance of theDay.
Dr Shalini Dogra, Gynecologist at Police Hospital Jammuspoke on health and hygiene issues. She stressed on importance of regularmedical checkups to remain fit.
Dr Nazia Rasool Latifi, Assistant Professor, ClusterUniversity, Jammu spoke about problems women face in the society and suggestedvarious ways and means to tackle the stress at home and workplace.
Those who were honoured with a plaque and certificateincluded HC Radha Rani, HC Shamshad Begum, HC Manju Bala, HC Nasib Kour, Sgct.Darshana Kumari and Sgct. Khalida Bano.
