Yasin Malik’s deteriorating health matter of concern: JRL

Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) has expressed concern over the reports of hospitalisation and deteriorating health of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik.

Malik was last month booked under PSA and shifted toKotbalwal jail but later he was handed over to NIA, which shifted him to TiharJail, New Delhi, were his health condition has deteriorated and has beenshifted to hospital, JRL said in a statement on Saturday.

   

“The entire Kashmiri nation is worried over the condition ofMalik and it was the responsibility of government of India to ensure histreatment, wellbeing and safety,” JRL said.

 “The way none of thefamily members of Malik were allowed to meet him in jail has raisedapprehensions about his condition as there is no source of information to getto know about his actual position,” the statement added.

JRL said, “Malik is the leader of masses and subjecting himto harassment and inhuman treatment is unfortunate and amounts to brazenviolation of human rights.”
