J & K Yateem Trust distributed 280 food kits worth Rs 4,20,000 among its registered widow-headed families at its sub office Gopalpora Chadoora, Budgam.
The trust in a statement said that it held a programme at its sub office Gopalpora in this behalf, where it distributed 280 food kits.
The event was attended by people from different walks of life, who hailed the charitable services of the trust.
“Each kit costing Rs 1500 contained all domestic grocery items,” it said.
The function was presided over by the patron of the trust Z.A.Tak who enjoined upon the widows to devote full attention towards education of their children, for which “J&K Yateem Trust has been and shall remain committed to provide full support to them.”
He also advised them to inculcate piety and self- respect among themselves and their children.
