Youth injured during clashes in Sopore

Amid shutdown scores of youth gathered at Arampora area of Sopore and started shouting anti-India and pro-freedom slogans. On Thursday, two militants had been killed in the area in an encounter.

A boy sustained injury during clashes between the agitating youths and the government forces in Arampora area of Sopore on Friday morning. 

Amid shutdown scores of youth gathered at Arampora area of Sopore and started shouting anti-India and pro-freedom slogans. On Thursday, two militants had been killed in the area in an encounter.

The protesting youth started pelting the forces deployed in the area with stones. The forces in return fired teargas shells to disperse them resulting in injuries to one youth. The injured youth was later rushed to Sub-District Hospital Sopore for treatment.

Meanwhile, hospital authorities identified the injured youth as Zahoor Ahmed son of Ghulam Mohammad of Sopore.
