Youth shot at, wounded in south Kashmir’s Kulgam

Unknown gunmen on Saturday fired at and wounded a youth in Turigam area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district, reports said.

Quoting a police officer, news agency GNS reported that the suspected militants fired upon Waseem Ahmad son of Mohd Amin at Turigam this evening.

Ahmad suffered serious bullet wounds in his legs and was shifted to a nearby district hospital for treatment.

Soon after the incident, the officer said, the security forces launched a hunt to nab the assailants.
