Chairman and Chief Executive Councilor, Kargil Kacho Ahmad Ali Khan has today called for wider publicity of social justice and empowerment schemes so as to ensure  fulfilment of the objectives towards education, economic and social empowerment of needy people.

The CEC stated this while speaking at a one-day awareness programme on social and educational welfare schemes organized by Social Welfare Department Kargil at Auditorium Hall Kargil here today.

Executive Councilor for Education Advocate Muhammad Amir and Deputy Commissioner Kargil Haji Gulzar Hussain were also present on the occasion.

 The CEC while underlining the importance of welfare schemes for the betterment of the masses called upon the Anganwari workers and students to act as ambassadors in spreading requisite information pertaining to the Central and State Government Departments 

Meanwhile, a number of speakers including Programme Officer ICDS Kargil Nargis Banoo, Assistant Labour Commissioner Kargil Muhammad Kazim, District Social Welfare Officer Kargil Aga Syed Jamal, Assistant Professor Dr Javed Naqi, District Coordinator Nehru Yuva Kendra Kargil Aga Syed Sajjad and other speakers enlightened the audience about social welfare schemes and scholarships, labor welfare schemes, Prime Minister’s Special Scholarship Scheme (PMSSS), ICDS, ICPS and Tribal Affairs Schemes besides  other allied schemes . 

Anganwari workers, NYK volunteers and students from Government Degree College Kargil, Girls Higher Secondary School Kargil and other educational institutions attended the day-long awareness programme.
