Director General of Police J&K, Dilbag Singh accompanied by Inspector General of Police Kashmir Zone, SP Pani today visited Leh and took stock of various issues pertaining to the region.
The DGP interacted with the representatives of various religious, social and political organisations at District Police Lines Leh. Appreciating the brotherhood and communal harmony of Ladakh, he commended the people for always showing exemplary social inclusiveness and cohesion which are reflected in the policing as well.
The IGP Kashmir while speaking on the occasion, appreciated the role of district Police Leh and said that the policing here is the future of policing which is the need of the time.
Later DGP Singh inaugurated the Women Police Station at Leh. The inaugural function was attended by the representatives of various women organizations and NGOs, District Officers and female students of Degree College Leh.
