Executive councillor LAHDC Kargil, Zakir Hussain and Punchok Tashi today visited Zojilla pass and took stock of the snow clearance work on the Srinagar- Leh highway.
Councilor Poyen Muhammad Amin, councilor Thasgam Abdul Rahim, Sub Divisional Magistrate Drass Pawan Kotwal, SHO Minamarg accompanied the CEC during the tour.
The EC’s took a brief from the officers about the snow clearance works presently in progress on the highway.
While hailing the efforts of the engineers and laborers engaged in the snow clearance works, both the ECs urged upon them to redouble their efforts for early restoration of the highway, so as to ensure passage of the stranded passengers on either side of the highway.
