Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC Kargil, Feroz Ahmad Khan today said that Sarpanchs ought to be well aware of their responsibilities and duties as the requisite knowledge would help them make good use of the powers vested upon them constitutionally.
The CEC stated this while speaking during the concluding ceremony of the 2nd Phase of training of Sarpanchs of Kargil District at Conference Hall, Baroo here today.
Feroz Khan congratulated the Sarpanchs for getting elected while lauding the efforts of the Rural Development Department, Kargil for organizing the training efficiently. Informing the gathering that he had started his political career as a Sarpanch, the CEC urged the Sarpanchs to remain steadfast and upright and not to succumb to any kind of negative influence and pressure.
