Divisional Commissioner, Ladakh, Saugat Biswas visited Satellite Campus, University of Kashmir, Leh, Taru during which he took stock of the various facilities and inspected several teaching and non-teaching departments at the campus.
According to a statement issued by the Kashmir University,the divisional commissioner was welcomed by Rector, Leh Campus, KU Prof FarooqAhmad Khan. During his visit Biswas was briefed about the academics, research,sports, other activities, and the courses being offered at Leh Campus.
He visited the science block, arts block, university libraryand geology lab. He was also informed about the measures University of Kashmirhas taken to ensure separate academic calendar for the students of Ladakh byestablishing separate examination Centre at Leh Campus.
During his interaction with the faculty and students theDivisional Commissioner emphasized upon equipping students with the requiredskill sets to enable them to compete in a dynamic competitive environment.
