Training for Aadhaar officials held in Kargil

With a view to giving a push to Aadhaar enrolment in Kargil district, a two-day training programme for Aadhaar officials and operators of the district was organized on 13th and 14th March by Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) in collaboration with Information Technology Department J&K with support from the District Administration.

Experts from UIDAI were deputed to Kargil for imparting the training for the officials of Kargil district. Apart from 14 moving ICDS enrolment operators who will enroll children of up to five years of age, two enrolment centers of ICDS, one centre for the general public will be operated in J&K Bank branches and two centers with School Education Department.

   

Saugat Biswas, secretary, Information Technology Department, who is also divisional commissioner, Ladakh informed that the district administration will facilitate Aadhaar enrolment camps in needy areas in some time.

The training in Kargil was supervised by assistant commissioner Revenue, Kargil Sonam Chosjor. Expert of UIDAI conducted day long training of the ICDS officials at Kargil.

Anganwadi Workers of Kargil, Shargole, Drass, Sankoo, Taisru, Zanskar and Shakar Chiktan from seven blocks of Kargil were present on the occasion.

The Anganwadi workers of ICDS Department will act as Aadhaar operators for enrolment of the children up to 5 years old through portable tablets.
