Army officer killed in cross-LoC firing in J&K’s Rajouri

A Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) of Indian army was killed after Pakistan violated ceasefire along the Line of Control (LoC) in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir, officials said today.

An official said that the officer of the rank of Naib Subedar was posted at a forward location when Pakistan resorted to firing and shelling from across the LoC in Tarkundi area.

   

He was wounded and later succumbed, said the official.

Another officer was killed on Sunday morning in Nowshera sector of Rajouri in cross-LoC firing.
