Biden picks 2nd Kashmiri origin woman for White House

US President-elect, Joe Biden has roped in a second Kashmiri origin woman in his administration ahead of his inauguration next week, reports said.

As per reports, Sameera Fazili, a Kashmiri origin woman has been picked by the Biden administration as Deputy Director of the National Economic Council, expected to improve manufacturing, innovation and domestic competition.

   

Fazili, who has been the Director of Engagement for the Community and Economic Development Department of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, has also served in President Obama administration as a senior adviser at the NEC and at the Treasury Department.

She will be the second Kashmir origin woman to be part of the Biden administration.

Earlier, the US President-elect picked another Kashmiri origin Aisha Shah as the Partnerships Manager for his White House Office of Digital Strategy.
