COVID19: Two more deaths take Bandipora toll to 21

Two more COVID19-related deaths on Saturday took the death toll in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district to 21.

According to the officials, the two women, aged 40 and 70, died due to Corona Virus on Saturday. Both the women had tested positive for the virus at SKIMS Soura in Srinagar.

   

The 4o-year-old woman from  Sari Dangerpora village of Sumbal in Bandipora was declared positive after her death at the hospital, according to the officials here and was later buried in her native village as per laid down SOPs.

The 70-year-old woman from Vijpara Hajin, who died today was already admitted in the SKIMS Soura hospital in Srinagar and had tested positive for the contagion on August 8, according to an official. 

With these two fresh COVID related deaths in Bandipora, the district’s toll has risen to 21. Among the dead,  12 are from Sumbal, 7 from Bandipora and 2 from Gurez block.
