Air traffic resumes at Srinagar airport; highway closed for 2nd straight day

After remaining suspended for a day due to fresh spell of snowfall in Kashmir valley, air traffic resumed at the Srinagar airport on Sunday, authorities said.
Director Srinagar Airport, Santosh Dhoke confirmed to KNO that flight operations at Srinagar Airport resumed this afternoon.

Earlier this morning, the flights were delayed at the airport due to accumulation of snow on the runway.
Meanwhile, traffic remained suspended on Srinagar-Jammu National Highway in view of snowfall on both sides of Jawhar tunnel.

Officials said that the clearance work on the highway is going and stranded vehicles will be allowed to ply once the road is cleared.
